Wig Care Guide

With the right care, your wig will stay beautiful for longer. Follow the steps below based on whether your wig is synthetic or human hair.

Synthetic Wig Care

Synthetic wigs hold their style well, but they need gentle handling.

Daily care

Use a wide-tooth comb or wig brush (start from ends, work upward)

Avoid excessive friction (scarves, heavy collars) where possible

Store on a wig stand to help maintain shape

Washing (every 8–12 wears, or when needed)

Detangle gently before washing

Fill a basin with cool water and add synthetic wig shampoo

Soak for 3–5 minutes (don’t scrub)

Rinse with cool water

Pat dry with a towel (don’t wring)

Air dry on a wig stand

Heat warning

Most synthetic wigs should not be heat styled unless clearly labelled “heat friendly.” If heat-friendly, use low heat only.

Human Hair Wig Care

Human hair wigs look and feel natural, but they require more maintenance — like your own hair.

Daily care

Lightly detangle before and after wearing

Use a heat protectant if styling

Avoid sleeping in the wig where possible (it causes friction and tangling)

Washing (every 7–10 wears, or when product builds up)

Detangle gently

Wet with lukewarm water

Apply a sulphate-free shampoo, smoothing downward

Rinse thoroughly

Apply conditioner mid-length to ends (avoid knots/cap area)

Rinse and towel-blot (no wringing)

Air dry or blow dry on low/medium heat

Styling

You can curl/straighten like normal hair

Keep heat moderate for longevity

Deep condition occasionally to maintain softness

Lace / Front care (important)

Avoid pulling the lace

Use adhesive/tape remover if you wear glue

Clean residue gently and don’t scratch the lace

Storage

Store on a wig stand away from direct sunlight

Keep away from heat sources and humidity

Use a silk/satin bag for travel
